Police are appealing for information after an incident in the Coolessan Walk area of Limavady in the early hours of Friday 5th April.
Sergeant Jack said: “Shortly after 2am, it was reported a device had been placed outside a house in the area. Police conducted a search and located an object, which was deemed to be a hoax. No roads were closed and no homes were evacuated.
“Our enquiries are continuing and I want to appeal to anyone who was in the Coolessan area and saw any suspicious activity or who has information which may assist our investigation to call police in Limavady on 101 quoting reference number 72 5/4/19.”
Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
