The InterAct Youth Arts Festival, renowned in the North West for its astounding array of free summer activities, begins on August 24 at the Millennium Forum.

InterAct is a unique festival created by youth for youth.

Spear-headed by the Youth Forum – a pro-active group of teens that works tirelessly to plan and programme the events – InterAct is on the cutting edge of young people’s skills development and entertainment.

This year, InterAct will begin on Monday 24th August with a packed schedule of five fun filled days that will include workshops in Dance, DJ Skills, Drama, Music making, circus skills, photography, costume design, and much more as well as the return of our ever popular Musical Theatre Masterclass with West End legend, Fra Fee. All this culminates on Friday the 28th August with our InterAct Showcase event. As always this is all FREE.

Daryl Moore, Festival Director of InterAct 2015, said “Each year, InterAct has become bigger and better, offering opportunities for young people aged 12-21 throughout the local area and further afield.  I’m pleased to say that with the help and commitment of our Youth Forum, our funders and the Millennium Forum, we’ve come up with a FREE programme that continues to deliver the biggest youth arts festival the City has to offer! ”

Full details of the InterAct Festival programme will be announced on the week beginning 10th August.

The InterAct Youth Arts Festival is funded by the Arts Council and the Foyle Foundation; it is sponsored by Derry News, Learning Pool, Curtis Opticians and Arts & Business.  The full programme is available to download from the Forum’s website on
