SDLP Councillor Angela Dobbins has condemned in the strongest possible terms the actions of death drivers who crashed into a wall beside Culmore Primary School this morning before fleeing the scene.

The Councillor for the Ballyarnett DEA commented:

“We are very fortunate that this incident was not fatal. Only an hour beforehand, the area would have been busy with children heading to school.

“This reckless behaviour is absolutely disgraceful and those involved should be ashamed of themselves.

“I am pleased that those who fled the scene have now been apprehended by the PSNI and they must face the full force of the law.

“If anyone has any information relating to this incident, I would ask they contact the PSNI.”
